Youth Leadership Tallahassee
Youth Leadership Tallahassee (YLT) is a program of Leadership Tallahassee, Inc., and the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce. Created in 2004, this year-long program brings together a diverse group of high school juniors from the public and private schools in Tallahassee who have demonstrated leadership potential in formal and informal situations, and prepares them to become ethical leaders committed to active community involvement. Students apply in 10th grade and participate in YLT in 11th grade. During this exciting one-year program, the students attend an Orientation, an Opening Retreat, six Program Days (one per month, each focusing on a community theme), and Graduation. Dual enrollment credit at Tallahassee Community College is also available.
